Inclusion comes to life
Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Campus Woudhuis organised a practical day of inclusive education and research on campus in June. More than twenty students, most of whom had done research projects on campus, discussed their experiences with inclusive research. Sofie Sergeant, recently promoted researcher disability studies at the VU was the discussion partner. With challenging statements, presentations of student research, and practical group discussions, inclusion came to life. With a growing labour demand and scarcity, the time seems more than ripe to make inclusion core of the labour market. The green sector, such as forest and nature management, offers excellent opportunities to do so.
